20150708DLTU1690: The Facility for Rare Isotope Beams is a new scientific user facility for nuclear science, funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science and operated by Michigan State University. It is under construction on the campus of Michigan State University. FRIB Conventional Facilities and Infrastructure Division Director Brad Bull points out steel installation progress on the site in July 2015. The underground tunnel is 570 feet long, 70 feet wide, 13 feet high and the floor is 32 feet underground.
